Texas is one of the few states that does not require roofing contractors to be licensed. The result is a trade anybody can enter with a truck and a ladder, and millions of dollars a year in waste and fraud at the expense of people who had no way of telling the difference.
The only honest answer to that is a paper trail somebody else keeps. We are a member company of the National Roofing Contractors Association, the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas and the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association. Our inspectors are HAAG certified. Our manufacturer certifications include GAF GoldElite Commercial Contractor and GAF CoatingsPro. Those tiers are given for installation quality and withdrawn for the lack of it. None of that is something we can print on a shirt.
The work itself runs three ways. General contractors and property managers have used the commercial side for more than thirty years, on new construction dry-in, re-roofs, leak repair and maintenance across low-slope and metal systems. The multifamily side works on apartment communities, where the job is thirty buildings and people living under all of them. The residential side has come through three decades and thousands of roofs, most of them after hail.
