What the work involves.

Most North Texas roofs are replaced because of hail rather than age. A composition roof that would otherwise run twenty years gets bruised in one storm, and the granules that come off in the following months are what actually shortens its life. That is why so many replacements around here start with an insurance adjuster rather than a leak.

A replacement is a tear-off down to the deck, not a layer over the top. The decking gets walked and anything soft or delaminated gets replaced. Then underlayment, new flashing at every wall, chimney, valley and pipe, new vents, ridge, and the shingle. Flashing is where most of the failures we get called back to on other people’s work started, because it is the part that is cheapest to reuse and most expensive to get wrong.

Somebody walks the roof and photographs what is up there. On a house that is under an hour. On a commercial roof it depends on the square footage.

The written report

What was found, what it means, and what the options are, with the photographs behind it. If the roof is fine, that is what the report says.

Estimate or claim

A written estimate you can budget against. Where storm damage is involved, the report is also what the insurance claim is built from.

On a schedule agreed before anyone arrives, planned around a building that is still in use or a family that still lives there.

After

How long does a roof replacement take?

A typical house is a one-day job. Bigger or steeper roofs, or roofs with a lot of detail around dormers and valleys, can run into a second day. Heat and weather move it too. You will get a date and a realistic length at the estimate rather than after the crew arrives.

Do I need to be home?

No, though many people are. What matters more is clearing the drive and moving anything fragile off walls inside, because a tear-off shakes the house more than people expect.

What happens to the nails and debris?

The property gets gone over three times with magnets designed for the job, after the work is finished. Landscaping and decking get walked with you before the job starts so you know what is being protected and how.

What does the warranty actually cover?

The IntegriWarranty is our workmanship warranty. It runs ten years, it covers free repairs for leaks and storm damage during that period, it includes courtesy inspections, and the written certificate transfers once with the ownership of the house. The shingle itself carries the manufacturer’s own warranty against defects and discolouration.

What does it cost?
