Repair or Replace?
Five questions that point at whether your roof is a repair, a replacement or an insurance claim.
Start the quiz
Most roofs that get replaced in North Texas are replaced because of hail rather than age, and a lot of roofs people worry about turn out to be fine. Answer five questions and this will tell you which conversation you are probably having. It is a starting point, and the roof still needs somebody on it.

This sounds like a repair
An isolated failure on a roof with life left in it is worth repairing, and a repair done properly can add years. The thing to get right is finding where the water is entering rather than patching where it landed, because water travels along the deck before it shows up on a ceiling.

This sounds like a replacement
Granule loss across every slope, curling edges and age past the high teens is a roof at the end of its life rather than a damaged one, and patching it spends money twice. A replacement is a full tear-off to the deck, with the decking checked and the flashing renewed.

This sounds like an insurance claim
Recent hail, neighbours getting roofs, and damage in more than one place is the pattern for a storm claim rather than a repair. What decides a claim is the documentation, so the useful next step is a HAAG certified inspection that produces photographs and measurements a carrier can work from.

Nobody can answer this from the ground
Hail bruising is invisible from a driveway and a roof can be several years into a problem before anything shows inside. An inspection produces a written report with photographs, it takes under an hour on a house, and it costs nothing, including when the answer is that the roof is fine.

A calculator gets you close. Somebody on the roof gets you the number.
If You Want the Real Number
What the visit involves.
The inspection is free whether or not you hire us, and that includes hearing that you do not need the work yet.

Inspection
Somebody walks the roof and photographs what is up there. On a house that is under an hour. On a commercial roof it depends on the square footage.
- 02
The written report
What was found, what it means, and what the options are, with the photographs behind it. If the roof is fine, that is what the report says.
- 03
Estimate or claim
A written estimate you can budget against. Where storm damage is involved, the report is also what the insurance claim is built from.
- 04
The work
On a schedule agreed before anyone arrives, planned around a building that is still in use or a family that still lives there.

Christian and his team at IntegriBuilt Roofing were absolutely amazing! They were courteous and professional throughout the entire process, taking the time to explain each step thoroughly and making me feel completely comfortable from start to finish. They treated my home and property with the utmost respect, and even did a full cleanup after the repairs were completed. If I could give them 6 stars, I would! If you have any roofing needs, I highly recommend IntegriBuilt Roofing. Thank you to the whole team!

Put somebody on the roof.
The variable a calculator cannot see is the decking under your shingles, and that is often the one that moves the number. The inspection is free.
